All of us at the Dispensaire Français- Société Française de Bienfaisance, are very saddened by the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The Dispensaire has had connections to the Royal family from its inception. Our first Royal Patron was Queen Victoria, and Elizabeth the Queen Mother was the Dispensaire’s Royal Patron for nearly 50 years. The Queen Consort was our Patron for 10 years, and in 2022, the Countess of Wessex became our current Patron.

We join the UK and the rest of the world in mourning the loss of a Monarch who was the symbol of the United Kingdom, a remarquable leader who showed wisdom, courage and dignity throughout her life.

A great friend of France, she encouraged the Franco-British relationships during the 70 years or her reign.

Our condolences go to the British people, the Royal family, and in particular to our Patron Her Royal Highness the Countess of Wessex.
