The financial support of French and French speaking people living in precarious conditions in the UK is one of the objectives of the Dispensaire Français- Société Française de Bienfaisance.
Financial support for people living in precarious conditions
At the Dispensaire, young people going through a difficult time are seen by a permanent member of staff who listens, advises and can give financial help to provide for shelter for a few nights, until they find a job and receive a salary.
If the young person wants to return to France, the Dispensaire helps to organise and finance the return trip.
The Dispensaire also supports older people, living on a minimal pension, by giving them regular monthly allowances and/or an extra allowance to allow them to buy necessities like home appliances.
